Personal Message from Matteo: The Launch of the "Fractional School"

The goal of building this audience is not to sell you something, but mainly to share with you what I have learned along the way.

I know this, and I will always try to keep it in mind.

Fifteen years in B2B sales is a lot of time, and I have made endless mistakes.

The goal of this newsletter is to learn together from those mistakes and to share tactics, processes, and frameworks that I see working during my day-to-day.

While visiting my parents this summer, something happened.

For some reason, all the mental chaos I had, started to take shape over there.

I launched my Fractional Sales business on January 4th, 2023, always while at my parents.

And it happened again.

The Fractional School was born.

I usually receive two questions:

1) How do I build my sales team and... 2) How do I become a fractional sales leader?

With The Fractional School, I’m answering the latter.

12 months ago I was stuck in the corporate world.

If you had told me back then that today I would be working as a Fractional Sales Leader, I would have thought you were potentially drunk.

The last 6 months have been an incredible new chapter in my life.

It's been one of the biggest shifts in my life after the birth of my daughters and my move to Ireland in 2012.

On January 4th 2023, at my parent's home, I launched my fractional business, I built my website, my offer and launched with a video wearing grey knitwear.

Fast forward 6 months, I've had over 20 clients, generated six-figure revenue and a thriving exciting business.

How did this all happen?

In the last few years of the corporate world, I started struggling.

I felt trapped in my daily job, waking up during the night worried.

At the end of each week, I looked at my calendar and realised that 50-60% of the meetings just drained energy out of me.

Though I loved spending time with my teams, coaching, and helping people grow, I felt trapped in politics.

I decided to take action and started building my fractional consultancy, starting for free during nights and weekends. My employer was aware, and I thank them for it.

As I started seeing all these businesses and people, I began to get energy from them.

I helped build 5 sales teams in just 6 months, almost for free.

One evening, I spoke to my wife and told her I wanted to do this full-time.

Although leaving the corporate world was difficult with our kids, mortgages, and expenses, my wife said, "Try. If in 6 months it doesn't go well, you can always go back full-time."

That's what I did, and multiple circumstances brought me to where I am today.

It wasn't easy.

But, I couldn't be happier.
